2020 Volume 30 Issue 1 "Finding Your Purpose"

In studying God's Word, we find that every individual was born for a purpose. Moses was spared as he floated down the river in a basket, why? God had a plan for Moses' life. He was born for a purpose. Pharaoh was born for a purpose. Romans 9:17, "For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth." We see that everything happens for a reason and that everyone has a place and purpose in life. Most people never try to figure out why they are where they're at in life. Moses was born to do good, that God would be glorified. Pharaoh was born to do evil, so that God would be glorified. The man in John 9:1-7 was born blind, so that Jesus might come by one day and heal him, that God would be glorified. Jesus bore the stripes on His back for our healing. If we never got sick, we would never have to be healed. God doesn't desire for any of His children to become sick, but He had made provisions for those of us that will be sick in our lifetime. Many people have the deception that a Christian will never get sick, catch a cold or suffer from disease. We're all human and everyone of us will, at some time in our lives, step out of line or simply need our faith to be tested. God will test us in many different ways to see if we'll stand on His Word. Remember, you have been placed here for a reason. Someone is watching to see how you will react to the situations or circumstances that surround you. You may be questioning God as to why you're having the problems you're having or why you're sick all the time. It may seem to you that God never hears you or answers your prayers, but remember things happen for a reason and the Word says, "and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28. We must make certain that whatever our choiceare, that God will receive all the Glory.

Let God Fix It

After we have tried everything and we know we've mess things up beyond measure, we have learned to give it to God and let Him straighten things out. Speaking of straightening things out, we remember back when Debbie had a necklace that had a very fine chain and it had gotten tangled in several knots and she tried her best to get them out with no success. She finally laid the necklace down and asked the Lord to fix it for her. A while later, she came back by the necklace and her necklace was laying there in a perfect circle with all the knots removed. Did God do it? We know that we didn't. When we place our needs and desires in His hands, He takes a hold of them and begins His work. It doesn't matter if its a small chain or a giant legal matter, God can fix, when He sees us surrender it to Him. We are sure that most of you reading this letter have certain areas in your lives, where you would love to see the Lord move. We simply have to do what Debbie did, lay it down, walk away and ask him to fix it. This happened over 20 years ago, but it was so amazing that none of us have forgotten it. When God does something for you and you know it was Him that did it, you cant forget it. Let's agree together, right now, for your needs to be met. God knows your needs and we agree with you for them to be met this day. Amen!

God Is Faithful

When you pray, do you know without any doubt, that God has heard you and that your answer is on the way? If not, you can. God's promises are true and He tell us in His Word that we can have anything we ask, if we ask in faith. Asking in faith, simply means, knowing that which you've asked for as it aligns with God's Word. God is faithful and will keep His promises. He gives us wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He blesses us, everyday, to see His wonderful beauty. The sunrise, the blue sky, the sunset and all the wonders of His creation. We are so blessed to be Christians. Now we need to tell others, everyday, how blessed we are and how they too, can have the same blessings. Remember, when we ask anything believing, God is faithful to honor our request.
