2025 Volume 34 Issue 02 “God’s Gifts Are For You”

We’re not going to try to get you to accept our beliefs, but we are going to give you Book, Chapter and Verse of different places in God’s Word for you to study and allow God to show you the truth.  Many of you, reading this letter, may already possess God’s power, but we’re sure there are some that doubt and therefore they don’t have what we have.  Let’s examine God’s Holy Word and see if we can find the truth.  Let’s begin in I Corinthians Chapter 12.  The first thing we find is that God doesn’t want us to be ignorant.  Paul teaches us of the works of the Divine Trinity in Verses 4-6.

1.        God’s Spiritual Gifts are delivered by the Holy Ghost.

2.        The Administration of these gifts are by Jesus Christ.

3.        The Operation of these gifts are by God the Father.

What good are these gifts to us?  Why does God offer them to us in the New Testament?  When a person truly repents from their heart and accepts Jesus Christ as their Saviour, that person is saved and on their way to Heaven.  They are sealed by the Holy Ghost of promise until the day of redemption. (Ephesians 1:13 and 4:30)  Having the Gifts of the Spirit has nothing to do with our salvation.  A person that’s saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ is saved and sealed.  That person is going to Heaven, they just don’t know when.  Once we are saved, we pretty much know that to get to Heaven we must die or be raptured out with all the other Children of God.  The gifts give us power to overcome the devil, which will continue to hinder us until we are gone.  The gifts are to get us from Salvation to the grave or to the rapture.  You can buy a very small cheap car with no air conditioner.  One that has no cruise control, power windows, power seats, power locks or any of the nice accessories.  You can drive that car from North Carolina to Florida and it will get you there, or you can buy a large car with all the extras and drive the same trip.  Both will get you there, but one makes the journey easier.  The Gifts make your journey easier from here to the grave or from here to the rapture.  The Gifts give us wisdom, knowledge, power and Spiritual vision to see the snares and traps Satan lays for us.  Some teach that the Gifts are not for today, then Salvation is not for today.  God had the Gifts explained in the New Testament, so we could have them for our help.  In I Corinthians 13:8-10, Paul tries to explain why these Gifts are offered.  We all know that Charity is love.  We know that Prophecy is the foretelling of future events through the divine inspiration of the Holy Ghost.  We know that speaking in tongues is a gift
that God gives us, so we can convince the lost that Jesus is real and that He loves them.  We also know that speaking in tongues is for the unbelievers, we find this in I Corinthians 14:22.  Charity is love and God is love, therefore love never fails.  The Bible says in 13:8, that prophecies shall fail, tongues shall cease and knowledge shall vanish.  We know that Paul wrote this after Jesus came as a baby, died on the Cross, was buried and arose on the third day.  Paul then writes in Verse 9-10, “For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.  But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.”  Paul knew that Christ was the only creature that was perfect, created by the great Creator, God.  Paul also knew that Jesus was coming the second time, as each of us await His return right now.  Prophecy and tongues are to help us
get from here to the grave or to the rapture.  Right now, all of God’s Children need the Gifts to fight spiritual
battles, which will come upon all of us until Christ comes.  We prophesy, so we will know God’s direction in our lives.  We speak in tongues and interpret to win the lost. We use the gifts of Wisdom and Knowledge for help, but when that which is perfect is come, we shall no longer need the Gifts, because we shall have the mind of Christ and He shall be with us.  All of this is in The New Testament to encourage us and of course the reason that love never fails is because, God is love and He will never leave us nor forsake us.  The Book
of Acts ushers in the Gifts of the Spirit and I Corinthians explains the Gifts.  The Book of Romans is between Acts and I Corinthians.  The Book of Romans explains Salvation and God’s plans for all His Children.  If Acts and I Corinthians are for the early Church as some preachers preach, where does Romans come in?  Listen, salvation and the Gifts are for now.  God is no respecter of persons.  He is not going to promise or give certain gifts to His Children and deny them to others.  These so called, “preachers” need to, “Study God’s Word to show themselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”  (II Timothy 2:15)
There are so many False people trying to deceive millions by their false doctrines.  Study your Bibles!
