Please continue to pray for the leaders of this nation and for all church leaders in our local communities. As I sit here writing this news letter, I am reminded of an incident that happen with Evangelist David Bibey (Dad) some years back, at a National Day of Prayer that was being held at the courthouse square in Carthage, NC, by a group of pastors in the surrounding area. He decided that year that he would attend and as they gathered out in front of the courthouse that morning they prayed for this nation along with other things as well but when the prayer was over he was approached by a young man that made the statement, “That he was from the old church and he needed to quit condemning the sinners and get with the new church movement.” Pastor Bibey (Dad) told him that it wasn’t him condemning the sinners it was the Word of God. He went on to tell him that God never called him to preach what man wanted to hear, but to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Mark 16:15-18 The New church, (as the young man called it), has gotten away from the Bible and has been lead by Satan to make man feel good about living in sin. Pastor Bibey (Dad) told people that they could not live in sin and still make it to Heaven, he was repeating what the Bible actually says in I Corinthians 6:9 , “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” The young man was accusing Pastor Bibey (Dad) of condemning, “Fornicators.” It seems to me that God is doing the condemning through His Word just as (Dad) had told the young man. At this particular time, there were several men attending our church that were shacking with women that they were not married to. Pastor Bibey preached on sin and repentance and they fell under conviction, but instead of coming out of the sin and repenting, they chose to go to another church where the pastor left that subject alone for fear of losing his job or losing congregational members. This is the same church that the young man attends. In Galatians 5:19-21 the Word says, “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” It’s these standards that have saved tens of thousands of people and kept them over the years and to have a young naïve convert, that undoubtedly did not know the Word of God, tell Pastor Bibey (Dad), “That He was Old Church” was really a compliment. The worst part of that particular day was, there were several pastors standing there and not one stood with my dad on the Word, for fear of being rejected by others. Money, position, prestige and popularity have taken over many pastors. Pastor Bibey has always told our church congregation, “Visit other churches and if you are fed more there and feel that’s where you are to be then stay there because you are not my congregation, you’re God’s”. Please pray for all of the so called, (New Church Pastors, Teachers and Leaders). Let’s agree together that God will reveal His truth to them. Over the years, there have been others in the church, who thought they could disobey God’s Word, live for the devil and still be witnesses for God. Pastor Bibey (Dad) prayed, “God either straighten them out or take them out of our congregation.” Many have gone, because God wants and demands unity in His body. †
Humility
Until we, “Christians,” humble ourselves before God and take a stand against our enemy, “The Devil”, we will not see our country healed. We know and accept the fact that God is in control and He will allow what He will allow. The Word of God clearly tells us that things must get really bad before Christ comes for His Body. Friends, He’s Coming Soon!!!! As Christians, we’re not suppose to talk about others, but it’s hard to imagine how such ignorant people have been elected to offices on every level of local and national government. The issues that are being brought up, discussed, voted on and then passed are clearly coming from Satan, himself. Sure there will be many that will disagree with us and that’s alright. We’re looking for the King to come and set everything straight, again. Humility began the day God used the Holy Spirit to convict you of your sins and you realized you needed a Saviour. Someone to redeem your soul from the devil. You realized you needed Jesus Christ. That’s when you had to lay down your pride and humble yourself before God. The same humility that brought you to Christ will also get your prayers answered. We have to make certain that we’re not trying to help God. We have to get completely out of God’s way and trust Him for our needs and desires. †
